Kinetics kinetic isotope effects and substrate selectivity of alkyl benzole oxidation in permangonate aqueous solutions. 4.Activation parameters of reactions with MnO4 anions

Description

Distribution factors of gas/solution have been found and kinetics of the first slow stage of toluene, o-, m- and n-xylols, mesitylene, pseudocumene ethyl and isopropylbenzenes oxidation has been studied by kinetic distribution method in the system KMnO4-H2O at pH 5-7 when MnO4 anion is a reagent. A correlation between activation energies and C-H-bond homolysis, as well as compensation dependence between DELTAH and DELTA S common for alkylarenes and cycloalkanes have been detected. The data obtained confirm the assumption that oxidation of alkylbenzenes and alkanes by MnO4-anion starts from the slow stage of C-H alkyl bond splitting. Refs. 9, figs. 2, tabs. 2
