Description
Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging was performed in 13 patients with the scrotal abnormalities. There were six testicular tumors, one intratesticular hematoma, one hematoma in the epididymis, two epididymitis, one hydrocele, one inguinal hernia and one varicocele. Findings of MR were compared with those of ultrasonography (US) of the 12 cases in which both imaging modalities were performed. MR imaging clearly demonstrated the scrotal pathologic conditions and provided superior information than US. MR imaging is considered to be suited for the evaluation of the scrotal abnormalities.
