Description
The data are generalized on radiation complications of heart and pericardium following radiotherapy of oncological patients in the light of comparison of clinico-morphological changes with absorbed doses and latent period. It's shown that morphological signs of radiation complications of myocardium and pericardium are of specific character. Acute exudative pericarditis is early radiation reaction of heart, at delayed periods myocardial vessel lesions take place. The period of appearance of radiation complications of heart and pericardium in patients vary from mouth to some years depending on age, localization of pathological process, initial state of cardiovascular system and absorbed dose of heart
