Magnetotransport properties of YbNiSn
Description
We report Hall effect (1.3-30 K) and magnetoresistivity (1.3-20 K) measurements on the YbNiSn compound. It has been found that it is a Kondo lattice system with a ferromagnetic ordering below Tc=5.5 K. We observed that the Hall constant RH(T) increases as the temperature decreases and has a sharp peak at about Tc. Also, below Tc, the Hall resistivity ρxy versus H curves exhibit a highly non-linear magnetic field dependence with features suggesting a crossover to a new electronic state above 2 T. The magnetoresistivity ρ(H) is high with a magnetic field dependence similar to that of ρxy(H). (orig.)
