Multiplicity and compound multiplicity distributions in 14.5A GeV/c Si-emulsion collisions

Description
Multiplicity distribution of various classes of charged particles produced in nucleus-nucleus (A-A) collisions serve as an important tool to investigate whether A-A collision may be described simply as a superposition of h-h or h-A collision. Recently a new parameter termed as the compound multiplicity, nc (=ng + ns) has been introduced. An attempt is made to investigate some salient features of ng and nc distributions for 14.5 AGeV/c Si-emulsion collisions
