Measurement of beta spectra and dose in mixed beta-photon fields

Description

The development of a portable, phoswich-type, field beta spectrometer-dosemeter to measure beta spectra and doses at selected tissue depths in intense mixed beta-gamma radiation fields is described. The techniques used for the evaluation of the surface and depth dose rates based on beta spectral measurements are presented. (author)
