Determination of trace titanium in sapphires by epithermal neutron activation analysis
Description
The interferences of Ca and V in trace titanium determination by the 47Ti (n, p)47Se reaction of epithermal nutron were thoroughly studied both theoretically and experimentally. It was concluded that such interferences were negligibie for sapphires. The detection limits of Ti for different reactions were experimentally determined. It was shown that the 47Ti (n, p)47Se reaction was more sensitive than other reactions of Ti. The trace titanium in sapphires of Fujian Province was determined also by using the reaction
