Description

The magnetic susceptibility χ(T), thermoelectromotive force S(T) and specific electric resistance of the Ti50Ni50-xCux quasi-binary system alloys with x=0, 5, 10, 12, 15, 17, 20 and 25 at. %, conditions, are studied at the temperatures of 2-500 K. It is established, that addition of copper to the TiNi intermetallide approximately up to 5-6 at. % leads to certain (up to 50 K) decrease in the temperature of the beginning and end of the unique martensite transformation B2↔B19'. Increase in the copper content above the critical one (∼6 at.%) up to 15 at. % is accompanied by the change in the character of the martensite transformation. The change in 5the electron zone structure near the Fermi level by the martensite transformations of the B2↔B19', B2↔B19↔B19' and B2↔B19-type is considered
