Radiolysis mechanism for perfluoroisobutylene
- 1. Halogen Ural Production Association (Russian Federation)
- 2. Institute of Chemical Physics, Chernogolovka (Russian Federation)
Description
The radical yield from the radiolysis of crystalline perfluoroisobutylene, G(R) ≅ 8.6, is much larger than for linear perfluoro hydrocarbons. The main gaseous product from radiolysis of perfluoroisobutylene is tetrafluoroethylene G(C2F4) = 2, and perfluoroisobutane G(C4F10) = 1.8. Perfluoromethane G(CF4) ≅ 0.2 and hexafluoropropylene G(C3F6) ≅ 0.2 were also formed
