Radiation defects and instability of Ni-S alloys

Description
The residual resistivity and positron annihilation methods were used to investigate pure nickel and nickel-sulphur alloys after a low-temperature electron irradiation. A thermal decomposition of the solid solution is observed in non-irradiated alloy specimens near 650 K, while in irradiated specimens instability of the solid solution is noted already below 400 K
