Diquarks in a proton
Description
Role of diquarks is systematically investigated for the inclusive reactions, p + p at 360 GeV/c. On the assumption of the jet universality, information on quark and diquark hadronization obtained from e+ + e- → hadrons is utilized to hadron-hadron reactions. Formulating quark or diquark momentum distributions, we have constructed a general model which can be applied to any processes of hadron-hadron collisions. The model with the diquark can quantitatively describe longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions of various hadrons emitted in the p-p collisions. It is found that the primordial transverse momentum of 0.4 GeV/c for the quark and diquark reproduces quite well transverse spectra and sea-gull effects
