Granite some varieties in particular, contain significant level of primordial radionuclides. Granite is one of the extensively used building materials in dwellings as well as in work places in view of their durability and elegance. Hence there is a increasing concern the possible elevated indoor radon/thoron levels. The present study deals with the radon/thoron surface exhalation rates from 24 varieties of popular Indian granite sample
