Description
The feasibility for using an inertial confinement fusion (ICF) neutron source and an accelerator-driven (AD) neutron source to drive a subcritical reactor with the level of GWt thermal power is briefly analyzed. The neutron source intensity and relevant physical parameters for driving the reactor with the different subcritical states are given. The distinguishing feature of the ICF neutron source and AD neutron source as well as realizable prospects are compared
