Description

A review is presented of the last 15 years of research into the corrosion of AGR graphite moderators. Two main aspects of the problem are dealt with - the selection of coolant compositions providing adequate graphite life, and the need to avoid deposition of carbonaceous material from the coolant onto fuel element surfaces.
