Instrumentation system digitized for radiation monitor
- 1. Toshiba Corp., Fuchu, Tokyo (Japan). Fuchu Works
Description
Development was made of an area-process radiation monitor system employing digital detector signal processing techniques. It is applicable to total plant digital control systems for nuclear power plants. It is characterized by the use of optical multiplex data links between the control room and the distributed digital detectors through multiplexers. The supervisory unit is provided with the function of centralized supervision by means of EL graphic display in order to improve the man-machine interface. This system has made it possible to compact the radiation monitoring system and to save the labor for maintenance and inspection. (author)
