Excitation of a plasma-filled circular waveguide by a rectangular waveguide
Description
We have approximately analyzed the excitation problem of a plasma filled circular waveguide by the TE01 mode of the rectangular waveguide by means of the Fourier transform and the method of the mode expansion. Application of the continuity conditions to the junction of both waveguides leads to the simultaneous equations from which we can determine the reflection coefficients. The convergence of the solution and the reflection characteristic of the incident wave are shown in some numerical examples. (author)
