Residental areas soil contamination in Russia by the long-living radionuclides after Chernobyl accident

Description

The soil contamination levels in the vicinity and on territories of settlements of the Russian regions contaminated with 137Cs, 90Sr and 239,240Pu as a result of the Chernobyl NPP accident are considered. The empirical dependence for the number of settlements on 137Cs contamination level is given. The criteria for classification of settlements subjected to contamination as different categories are discussed
