Description
Observations of formation and decay of multiple layered structures in the atmosphere (mountain-valley breezes) by acoustic sounder, pilot balloons, radiosondes and ground-based meteorological measurements are given. An attempt is made to explain the time evolution of the phenomenon taking into account the orographic situation between the southern border of the Alpes and the Po-Valley
