Investigation of an effect of gas mixture composition on the multistep avalanche chamber characteristics

Description
Effect of organic additions on the operation of multistep avalanche chambers (MSAC) is investigated. Empirical dependence of MSAC gas amplification coefficient on addition concentration is introduced. It is suggested to use gas mixtures of argon with n-heptance, neon with methane and neon with argon and methane which improve performance properties of ASAC
