On the Theory of Initiating Effect of Continuous Heating on Structural Transformations and Phase-Transition Temperature in Crystals

Description
A model and kinetic theory of structural changes in crystals upon continuous heating are proposed; this theory takes into account nonadiabatic atomic transitions between different states of the system of nuclei and electrons. The nonadiabatic transitions initiate structural transformations determined by a change in the short-range order during the electron-density redistribution. It is shown that continuous heating stimulates structural changes in a crystal and reduces the temperature of the known phase transition.
