Analysis of intermetallic inclusions in defective castings of the Mg-Zn-Zr alloy system
Description
Results are presented of the study of inclusions in the defective casts made of Mg-Zn-Zr alloys by the use of X-ray diffraction and chemical phase analyses. Chemical composition and crystalline structure are given of the Laves phase ZrZn2 with a nonuniform particle distribution and clusters over which cracks grow
