Investigations of low energy light particles emitted in 22Ne and 40Ar-induced reactions
- 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR). Lab. of Nuclear Reactions
Description
Subbarrier light charged particles emitted in the reactions of 22Ne (ELAB = 178 MeV) and 40Ar (ELAB = 221 MeV) with natAg, 159Tb, 181Ta, 197Au, 232Th and 238U targets have been investigated for the first time. The strong component of these particles in inclusive energy spectra can not be explained by evaporation from compound nucleus or from fully accelerated fission fragments. For the explanation of this the ternary fission in heavy ion reactions has been proposed. (author)
