Effect of ion treatment on water wettability of SiO2 glass

Description

The wettability of an argon ion sputtered SiO2 surface is investigated. The wettability was estimated from the wet angle of water. Ion treatment increases the wettability. Aging via annealing decreases the wettability. A rate process of aging is applied for wettability of the glass. (orig.)
