(π, πN) puzzle: Effects of pion charge exchange

The ratio of cross sections for nucleon knockout by pions, e.g. sigma12C(π-, πN)11C / sigma12C(π+, πN) 11C, is shown to be insensitive to pion charge either before or after the knockout collision
