The stimulatory effect of γ-radiation on the growth on patinopecten essoensis
Description
Irradiation of Patinopecten essoensis spat with dose of 4-7.5 Gy was shown to stimulate the growth processes. After doses of 5.25-15 Gy one- and two-year Patinopecten essoensis exhibited an increased weight of soft tissues, muscle and gonads. Irradiation with the dose of 50 Gy decreased the survival rate, inhibited the growth and decreased the weight of gonads
