Description

The dependence of the energy spectrum of protons emitted at angles θ>900 in π-C interactions at 5 GeV/c upon the multiplicities and some other characteristics of the accompanying particles are investigated. It is shown that at the parametrization of invariant spectra by function exp (-T/T0) (in the proton energy range T=30-200 MeV) the slope parameter T0 for peripheral interactions and for events with one backward proton is considerably less than for events (I) in which two or more backward protons are present, (II) which are characterized by relatively small impact parameters of hadron-nuclear collisions and by a large number of secondary intranuclear interactions, (III) which satisfy the kinematics of the process of absorption of the secondary π+ meson by the nuclear quasi-deuteron pair.
