The preparation of silver bromide and manufacturing crystal silver bromide detectors

Description
One of the possible methods of increasing the sensitivity of track detectors by replacement of AgCl with AgBr is presented. The method of preparaion of pure AgBr equally alloyed with cadmium is briefly described. The methods used to control the purity of the obtained raw material are shown. The construction of AgBr detectors and the estimate of their sensitivity to protons, α-particles and relativistic nucei are described. The results of this work are given
