Description

We report the successful synthesis of (1-x)Pb(Fe2/3W1/3)O3-(1-x)BiFeO3 (PBFW, x=0.1 and 0.4) solid solutions using two-step solid state reaction method. The room temperature XRD and NPD measurement exhibits the Psuedocubic crystal system of space group Pm-3m confirmed through the Rietveld refinement using Fullprof software. Bifurcation of ZFC and FC reveals the strong anisotropic nature in the PBFW. Interestingly, both NPD and magnetic measurement of the PBFW solid solutions exhibits the short range order weak ferromagnetic clusters in the paramagnetic region. The Moessbauer spectroscopy and electron paramagnetic resonance studies exhibits the room temperature magnetically ordered system and show the iron in Fe3+ valence state along with the fraction of Fe2+ ions
