Description

The effect of β- and γ-radiations on adsorption and catalytic properties of Pt-Pd and Rh/γ-Al2O3 catalysts in the reaction of unsaturated compound hydrogenization, depending on the method, medium and irradiation dose, is investigated. Adsorption ability and activity of the irradiated catalysts in relation to hydrogen are shown to be twice as high as of the nonirradiated ones. The highest radiation effect is observed at 2.8x104-6x104 rad doses. Selectivity of the process grows in 97% with the increase of irradiation dose up to 2 Mrad. Irradiated catalysts display higher stability at long-term storage
