Coolant chemistry control during PWR shutdown-cooldown
Description
Most of the discussion in this paper deals with the transport of soluble or nonfilterable species. Thermodynamic stability and solubility behavior of PWR corrosion products are analyzed. PWR plant shutdown-cooldown data and their interpretation are presented. The results of the program designed to demonstrate redox control for controlling the solubility behavior during shutdown and cooldown are discussed to illustrate that crud solubility can be controlled by suitable coolant chemistry control
