Conditions for the appearance of magnetism in metallic actinide systems

Description

The parameters responsible for the occurrence of localized magnetic moments in dilute or concentrated metallic actinide systems are reviewed, and their experimental evidence is discussed. The dilute Usub(x)Thsub(1-x) and (Usub(x)Thsub(1-x)S Kondo systems, the protactinium compounds, UAl2 and the rocksalt compounds will be more specifically considered
