Description

Erratic blocks found in the region of Wangen a.d. Aare delineate the maximum position of the Solothurn lobe of the Rhone Glacier. 10Be and 26Al exposure ages of three of these blocks show that the glacier withdraw from its maximum position at or slightly before 20,000±1800 years ago.
