Results of seventh regular inspection of No. 1 plant in Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc

The seventh regular inspection of No. 1 plant in the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station was carried out from July 14, 1984, to January 11, 1985. The resumption of parallel operation was on December 18, 1984, 158 days after the parallel off. The object facilities of inspection were the reactor proper, reactor cooling system, measurement and control system, fuel facilities, radiation control facilities, waste facilities, reactor containment installation, and emergency power generation system. On these object facilities of inspection, the appearance, disassembling, leak, function, performance and other inspections were carried out, and as the result, abnormality was not found. The works related to this regular inspection were accomplished within the range of the allowable exposure dose based on the relevant laws. The main reconstruction works carried out during this regular inspection were the charging of 100 new 8 x 8 fuel assemblies, the replacement of four seawater pumps, the improvement of scram exhaust system, and the corrosion countermeasures for waste liquid accepting facilities.
