Alteration of the graphite macrostructure and porosity under prolonged irradiation

Description

Alteration of micro- and macrostructure of highly irradiated samples of reactor graphite is studied, using the methods of mercury porometry, optical microscopy and radiographic analysis. It is shown, that prolonged neutron irradiation at 360 and 1220 K to the fluence of 1x1022 neutron/cm2 causes considerable irreversible changes in graphite macrostructure
