Specific features of ECR heating in open traps

The experimental results on electron cyclotron heating in inhomogeneous magnetic field in open traps of two types: an axially nonsymmetric baseball and an axially symmetric one with counter fields (cusp.), are considered. The results have not yet an unambiguous theoretical expansion
