Phase equilibria in the systems of alkaline earth element orthosilicates and their inorganic analogs

Description

Equilibrium and metastale ratios in the systems formed by calcium orthosilicate Ca2SiO4 and by its neighbouring stoichiometric analogs - orthogermanates of alkaline earth elements (Me=Ca, Sr, Ba) are considered. Formation of single-type solid solutions in structure is detected in diagrams of binary cross sections of Ca2SiO4-MeGeO4. Introduction of isomorphic Sr2GeO4 into Ca2SiO4 in quantity of more than 15 mol% or Sr2SiO4 - 5 mol% preserves the specimens of the given concentration interval from scattering providing the stabilization of α'-form. 34 refs.; 8 figs
