On canonical quantization of electrodynamics with boundary conditions
Description
In the simple case of two parallel plates it is shown that in the presence of static superconductor boundary conditions the Gupta-Bleuler formalism of covariant gauge electrodynamics works well. It gives the correct result for the Casimir energy and is equivalent to the path-integral formalism developed earlier for the same problem
