Fractionated radiotherapy regime of radioresistant cancers based on tumor radiobiology
Description
Recent tumor radiobiological research found several phenomena occurred in tumors irradiated with conventional radiation. Some of these findings can be used clinically, though all of them may not be able to apply directly to clinical radiotherapy. For example, reoxygenation in the course of fractionated radiotherapy is well known phenomenon and it is considered to be adopted to radiotherapy. In present paper, radiotherapy of radioresistant cancers by use of phenomenon of reoxygenation is discussed. (author)
