Loviisa NPP modernization and power upgrading

Imatran Voima Ltd improves the efficiency of the Loviisa Nuclear Power Plant in one with the modernization of the turbines and other devices. There are also plans to upgrade the nominal thermal power of the reactor in connection to the modernization to be carried out. The electrical net rated output of the plant will increase about 10 % which means nearly 100 MW. The cost estimate of the project is around 200 million Finnish marks. The implementation of the project will be carried out in several phases during the years from 1995 to 2000. (orig.) (1 fig.)
