Measurement of a pulsed ionizing radiation dose by a semiconductor diode operating nonlinearly

  • 1. Sapfir Scientific Research Institute, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

The application of semiconductor diodes to measure the dose of pulsed ionizing radiation at a dose rate larger than 1010 R/sec is discussed. The method was experimentally tested in a field of bremsstrahlung of a pulsed electron accelerator at a dose rate of 1010-1012 R/sec and a radiation pulse duration of 25 nsec
