Activation analysis
Description
In general, activation analysis method is utilized for the analysis of various materials in the wide field, because the method has the high analytical sensitivity for many elements and is also possible on nondestructive analysis. In this paper, the advances of activation analysis is reviewed by the experimental methods. The major topics of radiation detection and measurement systems, analysis systems, instrumental neutron activation analysis and charged particle activation analysis as nondestructive activation analysis, the method with chemical processing post or after irradiation, mercury analysis, and using isotopic ratios are summarized.
