Method for manufacturing directly extrudable, fluid granulated material from uranium dioxide, free of binding agent, with good sintering capability
Description
A method is described for manufacturing directly extrudable, fluid granulated uranium dioxide, free of binding agent, with good sintering properties from a non sinta-active uranium dioxide powder. According to the given process, the uranium dioxide powder is activated by fine grinding to grain sizes of < = 1 μm up to 5 μm and subsequently dry-granulated to obtain round particles. The granulated material may then be extruded to forme pellets and sintered. (GSC)

Es wird ein Verfahren beschrieben zur Herstellung eines bindemittelfreien, direkt verpressbaren, rieselfaehigen Urandioxidgranulats mit guten Sintereigenschaften aus einem sinterinaktiven Urandioxidpulver. Nach dem angegebenen Verfahren wird das Urandioxidpulver durch Feinmahlung auf Korngroessen von < = 1 μm bis 5 μm aktiviert und anschliessend trocken zu runden Partikeln granuliert. Das Granulat kann anschliessend zu Pellets gepresst und gesintert werden. (GSC)Files
