Elementary particles and symmetries

Creators

Description

The book based on lectures delivered at Kent University, Great Britain for students specialized in experimental physics. It deals with description of properties of elementary particles and their interactions. Alongside with ''standard'' themes (such as symmetry and concervation laws isospin formalism, P- and CP-parity violation etc.) the author without simplification considers some problems usually not included in such editions. It relates to chapters dealing with theory of conservation of vector current and unitary symmetry, chiral symmetry and current algebra, finally, unique theory of weak and electromagnetic interactions and introduction of charm. The author tried to do with minimum use of mathematical apparatus and he did not intend to meet the reader with quantum field theory
