Simulation for higher efficiency of a nuclear power plant
Creators

Description
For the nuclear power plant in Borssele, Netherlands, a simulation model has been developed for the thermodynamic process. The simulation not only aims at the safety but also at improvement of the efficiency by means of a better management of the process. By means of the model operators can control the efficiency and detect failures faster and more effective. It also appears that efficiency can be improved by means of increasing the main steam pressure and a reduction of the cool water flow
