The effects of heat and humidity before, during and after exposure on the response of PADC (CR-39) to alpha particles
Description
The effects of heat and humidity on the track registration efficiency of PADC (CR-39) were measured using three different processing and counting techniques. It was found that the track registration efficiency decreased with temperature or all the assessment techniques. Humidity at the time of exposure caused a large additional loss in sensitivity for two assessment techniques, but not for visual counting of chemically etched tracks. (author)
