Resonance ionization spectroscopy of Pb
- 1. Tokyo Univ. (Japan). Faculty of Engineering
Description
We have made two color resonance ionization spectroscopy of neutral lead to investigate even parity J=0, 1, and 2 Rydberg series. The term value of the observed levels was determined and interpreted by means of the multichannel quantum defect theory (MQDT). Multichannel quantum defect parameters for J=0, 1, and 2 were obtained by non-linear fitting procedure. The perturbing levels observed in the experiment were assigned and unobserved levels were predicted by the calculation using multichannel quantum defect parameters. (author)
