Turkey as a Nuclear ''Newcomer''

Description
Turkey, a developing country with a young population and increasing energy demand has put its nuclear energy plans into action after several attempts that were halted due to economic or political reasons. Ankara signed agreements with Russia and Japan for nuclear energy cooperation for nuclear power plants (NPP)- in Akkuyu and Sinop respectively. This piece provides information on the nuclear energy decision of Ankara with its past and present, as well as he financing, human resources development and the fuel cycle aspects of the NPPs to be built.
