Future prospects of sol-gel method application for producing protective coatings

Description

The possibility of sol-gel method application for producing protective coatings by the sol-gel process is discussed. The critical qualitative evaluation of coatings made of sols only is given. Two of the most important directions of Si, Ti, Al, Zr alkoxides application for synthesis inorganic-inorganic and inorganic-organic composites are presented. (author)
