Description

The features of heavy double-magic nuclei 208Pb and 132Sn are calculated in the random-phase approximation. The calculations are performed with finite-range effective forces and cover all available experimental data on the properties of the levels of these nuclides with energies below 4 MeV for 208Pb and 7 MeV for 132Sn
