Description
There is a growing interest in neutron emission data from intermediate and high-energy proton induced nuclear reactions in various target elements. Experimental measurements with a large no of target elements and different projectile energies become an extremely difficult task. For this reason and in order to study the trend in total neutron emission from intermediate energy proton induced reactions it was resorted to numerical estimation of this data using the geometry-dependent hybrid (GDH) nuclear reaction model code ALICE. This code uses GDH for calculating pre-equilibrium emissions and the Weisskopf-Ewing model for the evaporative component. The Gilbert-Cameron level density and optical model inverse cross-section calculations were done. A total of 32 target elements ranging from 9Be to 209Bi for incident proton energies of 25, 45 and 65 MeV was chosen
